Working smart, boosting productivity and realizing your dreams (personal and professional) are things that you aim for, right? How do you plan to achieve the success that you want daily?

I blog about tips to make your daily life easier. In this post, I’ll share with you 15 crucial ways to boost productivity that I love and embrace…

1. Life purpose

Start by knowing your ‘why’. What you do every single day, should be in line with your true life purpose.

2. Set goals

After knowing what you want out of your life, plan baby steps to reach your set goals. Set specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals. You may instead prefer to use another goal-setting technique.

3. Action plan

Have daily, weekly and monthly to-do lists. Keep your New Year resolutions (or business objectives) in mind. Plan for the longer-term as well (5-10 years). Work within time frames and frequently review your set goals to see if they’re still relevant to you.

4. Morning routine

To start the day with a well-defined purpose, have a morning routine that will help you to stay fit and energized. This will support you while you work towards your set goals.

5. Prioritize

Give priority to important and urgent tasks. While you do want to achieve everything on your list, you still have to identify and work on your top necessities first.

6. Eliminate tasks

Review your to-do list and remove any redundant tasks. Keep time to focus on the right ones!

7. Take breaks

Do take breaks by allocating time slots at regular intervals during work. You’ll get back to what you’ve put aside with a fresh mind! It has been proved that breaks help to boost productivity (see the resources section at the end of this post).

8. Batching

Batch similar types of tasks/activities together, as this supports better performance and thus boosts productivity.

9. Avoid multitasking

Multitasking has been proved to reduce productivity and increase stress levels.

10. Automate

Automating work helps to save time, while different tasks get done simultaneously.

11. Delegate

Delegate work that you can to subordinates/others so that you give your full attention to your truly important work.

12. Socialize (outside of the current lockdown)

In normal times and outside of the lockdown period in many countries (at the time of editing this blog post)… Meet up with colleagues during lunchtime, have dinner with your family at home and get together with your mates during the weekend. Network to grow your professional circle. Unwind and recharge as well!

13. Ongoing learning

Remain updated about the latest research and knowledge in your industry, so that you use the best proven working methods.

14. Continuous improvements

By always learning and putting it into practice, you’ll see what works best and improve all the time.

15. Self-care

Last but not least ‘all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’ (as the saying goes)! So make yourself a priority, so that you can, in turn, be productive at work!

Ensure that you practice the following daily:

  • Proper sleep
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Healthy eating
  • Exercising
  • Meditating
  • Skincare routine
  • Hobbies that you love…

Conclusion

With better daily productivity habits, you can move towards your set goals confidently! Do you have any productivity tips to share? Please do so. Thank you!!
